Rinhelp receives customer email through your existing team address, such as `help@yourdomain.com`. You keep using your current inbox and add a forwarding rule. You do not need to move your email service or change where your domain receives mail.

## Before you begin

You need access to the team inbox or help from the person who manages your company email. Keep a copy of forwarded messages in the original inbox so your team can still see every message there.

If email has not been added to the workspace yet:

1. Open `Settings`, then `Email`.
2. Enter the address your team uses for customer email.
3. Select `Continue`.

## Add the forwarding rule

1. Open the `Receiving setup` tab.
2. Copy the address under `Forward to`.
3. In your email provider, create a forwarding rule for the team address.
4. Paste the Rinhelp forwarding address as the destination.
5. Keep delivery to the original mailbox enabled.
6. Complete any confirmation required by your email provider.

The `Receiving setup` tab includes instructions for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. If your company blocks forwarding to outside addresses, ask the person who manages your email to allow the Rinhelp address.

## Verify incoming email

1. Return to the `Receiving setup` tab in Rinhelp.
2. Select `Send forwarding test`.
3. Wait for the status to change from `Waiting for the forwarded message...` to `Verified`.

Leave the forwarding rule enabled after the test passes. New customer emails will appear in the shared inbox.

If the test fails, confirm that it reached the original inbox and that the rule uses the exact `Forward to` address. Check whether your email provider asked you to confirm forwarding. Then check your spam folder and any company rules that block forwarding before sending another test.
