# Move from LiveChat to Rinhelp

LiveChat archived chats, their staff-only events and canned responses move through Text’s APIs or Text’s read-only MCP. Count your API calls first: Essential includes 10,000 a month and Growth 20,000, and Essential keeps only 60 days of history.

Limit used: no per-minute number (monthly allowance: 10,000 calls on Essential, 20,000 on Growth), about 1 per conversation. Rinhelp takes up to 3,000 conversations a minute. Importing is free: it never emails your customers, never runs Rin and never counts toward a plan.

Create a Personal Access Token for the AI agent, and buy an extra API call pack if your monthly allowance won’t cover the archive. To connect the MCP from ChatGPT you need a Pro, Team, Enterprise or Edu plan with deep research turned on.

## Questions

### Will the move use up my LiveChat API calls?

Yes. Each list_archives call returns up to 100 chats, so 20,000 chats take about 200 calls of your monthly allowance (10,000 on Essential, 20,000 on Growth). Extra packs are for sale if you need more.

### I’m on LiveChat Essential. Can I get chats older than 60 days?

Probably not: Essential keeps conversation and file history for 60 days. Move soon, and everything still in LiveChat comes across.

### Can Claude read my LiveChat archive without code?

Yes. Text’s official MCP lists archived chats and reads full transcripts, read-only, so Claude can bring them into Rinhelp. In ChatGPT it needs a paid plan and deep research.
