# Move from Tidio to Rinhelp

Tidio chats and tickets, with internal messages and attachment links, come over its API, which only the Plus and Premium plans include. No way to list Canned Responses was found, and Tidio has no help center, so the AI agent builds articles from your own website.

| Conversations | Time to read them |
| --- | --- |
| 1,000 | about 17 minutes |
| 10,000 | about 3 hours |

Limit used: 60 requests a minute (OpenAPI on the Plus plan (Premium allows 120)), about 1 per conversation. Rinhelp takes up to 3,000 conversations a minute. Importing is free: it never emails your customers, never runs Rin and never counts toward a plan.

If you’re on Tidio Free, Starter or Growth, move to Plus or Premium first, then get the OpenAPI Client ID and Client Secret for the AI agent. Copy your Canned Responses into saved replies by hand.

## Prompt for a chat app

Connect Tidio’s read-only Analytics MCP with my Client ID and Client Secret, then follow https://rinhelp.com/migrate/tidio.md to bring my recent chats and tickets into Rinhelp. In Claude Desktop it needs a local bridge, since that settings screen can’t add Tidio’s sign-in headers.

## Prompt for a coding agent

Follow https://rinhelp.com/migrate/tidio.md to copy all my Tidio chats and tickets with the OpenAPI Client ID and Client Secret. Read each ticket with its messages and each customer’s chat history, keep internal messages as notes, and stay under 60 requests a minute on Plus or 120 on Premium. If you use the Analytics tables, read both the live chat and ticket messages.

## What stays behind

- Flows (automations)
- Training for Lyro, Tidio’s AI agent
- Analytics
- Widget settings

## Facts

- Tidio’s OpenAPI works only on the Plus and Premium plans; its product endpoints need a paid Lyro plan instead. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/docs/openapi-enable.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- Tidio’s OpenAPI allows 60 requests a minute per project on Plus and 120 on Premium. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/docs/openapi-rate-limiting.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- The Free plan has no OpenAPI, and the Free Trial, Starter, Growth, paid Lyro and Flows plans get only 10 requests a minute per project, for product recommendations. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/docs/openapi-rate-limiting.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- One cursor-paged Tidio call lists a customer’s complete chat history. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/reference/get_contacts-contactid-messages.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- A Tidio ticket comes back with all its messages in one call, and each message says whether it is internal or public. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/reference/get_tickets-ticketid.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- Tidio’s Analytics API loads data once a day, so the previous day’s chats appear around 10:00 UTC the next day. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/docs/data-availability.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- In Tidio’s Analytics tables, live chat messages and ticket messages are stored apart, so a bulk copy needs both. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/llms.txt (checked 2026-10-31)
- Tidio’s Analytics API has its own limit of 50 requests a second, shared across all Tidio users. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/docs/rate-limiting.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- Tidio’s official MCP reads only analytics data and signs in with the same Client ID and Client Secret as the API. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/docs/analytics-api-mcp.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- Claude Desktop’s settings screen can’t yet add the Tidio MCP’s custom sign-in headers, so it needs a local bridge there. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/docs/analytics-api-mcp.md (checked 2026-10-31)
- Tidio’s Analytics API turns on together with the OpenAPI, with no separate switch. Vendor page: https://developers.tidio.com/docs/enable-analytics-api.md (checked 2026-10-31)

## Questions

### I’m on Tidio Growth. Can I still move my chats?

Not over the API: Tidio keeps its OpenAPI and its MCP for the Plus and Premium plans. Move up to Plus for the length of the move, then cancel Tidio once Rinhelp has everything.

### Why are yesterday’s Tidio chats not in Rinhelp yet?

Tidio’s Analytics data loads once a day, around 10:00 UTC for the day before. Run the catch-up after that time, or read recent tickets over the OpenAPI instead.

### Do my Tidio Canned Responses come across?

No list of them was found in Tidio’s API, so copy them into saved replies by hand. Rinhelp keeps each one as shared plain text.
