Connect your AI app

Connect Rinhelp to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Hermes, or OpenClaw.

You need a Rinhelp account and permission to add a custom connection in your AI app. Use https://mcp.rinhelp.com/mcp as the server address. If the app asks how to sign in, choose OAuth. This opens Rinhelp in your browser so you can sign in safely.

Go to your app’s steps:

Connect to ChatGPT

Use ChatGPT on the web. Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces can use every Rinhelp tool, including tools that make changes. Pro accounts can connect tools that only read data.

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Advanced Settings and turn on developer mode. If you cannot see it, ask your workspace admin for access.
  2. Open Settings > Apps > Create. Workspace admins and owners can also open Workspace settings > Apps > Create.
  3. Name the app Rinhelp and enter https://mcp.rinhelp.com/mcp as the server address.
  4. Choose OAuth, then select Scan Tools.
  5. Sign in to Rinhelp and wait for the tool scan to finish.
  6. Review the tools and select Create.
  7. Start a new chat and select Rinhelp from the tools menu for the message that needs it.

An admin must publish the draft app before other workspace members can use it. Select or @mention Rinhelp again when a later message needs new data or an action.

If setup options are missing, check OpenAI’s plan requirements and developer mode instructions.

Connect to Claude.ai website

On an individual Free, Pro, or Max account:

  1. Open Customize > Connectors.
  2. Select +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Enter https://mcp.rinhelp.com/mcp and select Add.
  4. Select Connect and sign in to Rinhelp.

Free accounts can add one custom connector. On Team or Enterprise, an owner first adds the URL through Organization settings > Connectors > Add > Custom > Web. Each teammate then opens Customize > Connectors, finds Rinhelp, selects Connect, and signs in.

In a chat, select + > Connectors and enable Rinhelp. See Claude’s custom connector guide if you cannot add or enable it.

Connect to Claude Desktop

Add Rinhelp to your Claude account using the Claude website steps. Sign in to the same account in Claude Desktop. In a chat, select + > Connectors and turn on Rinhelp.

Claude connects to Rinhelp over the internet, so you do not need to edit claude_desktop_config.json.

Connect to Grok

  1. Open Grok connectors.
  2. Select New Connector, then Custom.
  3. Enter https://mcp.rinhelp.com/mcp as the server address.
  4. Sign in to Rinhelp when Grok asks.
  5. Start a conversation and ask Grok to use Rinhelp.

These steps are for Grok on the web. See xAI’s connector guide for available options.

Connect to Hermes

Run these commands in your terminal:

hermes mcp add rinhelp --url https://mcp.rinhelp.com/mcp --auth oauth
hermes mcp login rinhelp

Complete the browser sign-in.

Check the connection with hermes mcp test rinhelp, then run hermes chat. If Rinhelp tools are missing, run hermes mcp list. See the Hermes MCP guide for more help.

Connect to OpenClaw

Run these commands where you use OpenClaw:

openclaw mcp add rinhelp --url https://mcp.rinhelp.com/mcp --transport streamable-http --auth oauth
openclaw mcp login rinhelp

Open the sign-in link that OpenClaw prints. After you approve access, follow the terminal prompt to finish the connection. If it asks for a code, copy the code from the browser and run openclaw mcp login rinhelp --code YOUR_CODE.

Check the connection with:

openclaw mcp doctor rinhelp --probe

See the OpenClaw MCP guide if the connection fails or your agent cannot see the tools.

Check your connection

Ask your AI app to run account.whoami. Check that it shows the account and workspace you intended to connect.

Then try: “Show my open Rinhelp inbox items.”

The app can use your Rinhelp permissions to send replies and make changes. Check the target conversation or order before approving an action. See the tool reference for exact tool names and inputs.
