Send replies from your domain
Add two domain records so Rinhelp can send email from your team address.
Rinhelp sends shared-inbox replies from your team address, such as help@yourdomain.com. Before it can send, add two records to your domain settings. These records show email providers that Rinhelp has permission to use your address. Rinhelp labels them DKIM and Return path.
Before you begin
You need access to your domain settings. Your provider may call this area DNS. If someone else manages your domain, send them the record type, host, and value shown in Rinhelp.
If email has not been added to the workspace yet:
- Open
Settings, thenEmail. - Enter the address your team uses for customer email.
- Select
Continue.
Add the domain records
- Open the
Sending setuptab. - Find the
DKIMrecord. Copy itsType,Host, andValueinto a new record at your DNS provider. - Find the
Return pathrecord. Copy itsType,Host, andValueinto another new record. - Save both records.
Use the record type shown in Rinhelp. Copy each host and value exactly. Some DNS providers add your domain to the host automatically, so check that the saved host does not contain the domain twice.
Verify the sending domain
- Return to the
Sending setuptab. - Select
Verify DNS. - Check that both
DKIMandReturn pathshowVerified.
Rinhelp cannot send email from your team address until both records show Verified. Domain changes can take time to appear. If either record remains Pending, compare its saved type, host, and value with Rinhelp, wait a little longer, then select Verify DNS again.
Next, set up incoming email so customer replies reach the shared inbox.
