Install the chat widget
Add the widget to your site with one script tag.
The widget loads from widget.rinhelp.com. You install it by adding one script tag to your site.
Install it
- Open
Widgetin the Rinhelp workspace. - Select
Install on your site. - Select
Copy snippet. - Paste the snippet before the closing
</body>tag on every page where visitors should get help. - Publish your site and open one of those pages in a private browser window.
The snippet looks like this. Keep your workspace’s publishable key in place of the placeholder.
<script src="https://widget.rinhelp.com/widget.js?key=rhpk_YOUR_PUBLISHABLE_KEY" async></script>
The key identifies your workspace in browser code. It is designed to be public. Do not put a private access token in the script tag.
Confirm it works
Open your website and select the chat button. Ask a question covered by your help pages, then open the source link in the answer. To test a reply from your team, ask for a person, then select Talk to a human, submit the requested email and note, and find the resulting Waiting chat in the shared inbox.
If the chat button does not appear, confirm that the whole script tag is present, the URL still contains key=, and your browser can reach widget.rinhelp.com. If the widget appears but cannot answer, test the same question in the widget preview.
