Connect Shopify and handle refunds
Look up orders and review refund requests in your inbox.
Connect one Shopify store to a Rinhelp workspace. The connection lets your team look up order status and tracking, and lets visitors or teammates request refunds that a teammate approves in the shared inbox.
Connect your store
Before you begin, have the store’s myshopify.com domain and permission to install an app.
- Open
Shopin the workspace sidebar. - Enter the store domain in
myshopify domain, such asyour-store.myshopify.com. - Select
Connect Shopify. - Complete Shopify’s authorization screen.
- Return to Rinhelp and check for
Shopify is connected.
If a store is already connected, the button says Reconnect. A workspace can connect only one store at a time.
Look up an order
The order lookup needs the customer-facing order number and the email address on the order. It returns the order’s status and tracking information. It does not change the order.
Handle a refund
Create a request, then review it before approving:
- Select
Request refundin the inbox and enterOrder number,Email on the order, and, if needed,Amount (optional)andReason (optional). - Select
Send to inbox. - Open the new refund request in the inbox and check
Amount,Status,Reason, andRequested by. - Choose
Approve and refundto send the refund to Shopify, orRejectto close the request without refunding the order.
If the status is executing, do not approve again. Select Check Shopify status first because the first request may have reached Shopify even if Rinhelp has not received a clear result.
