Move from Freshdesk to Rinhelp

By , founder of Rinhelp · Facts checked · Markdown for AI agents

Freshdesk tickets, replies, private notes, canned responses and solution articles move to Rinhelp. Freshdesk’s ticket list only looks back 30 days and stops at 30,000 tickets, so your AI agent filters by updated_since and works in date slices.

ConversationsTime to read them from Freshdesk
1,000about 3 minutes
10,000about 25 minutes

Limit used: 400 requests a minute (Pro plan, whole account), about 1 per conversation. Rinhelp takes up to 3,000 conversations a minute.

Free. Importing never emails your customers, never runs Rin and never counts toward a plan.

Needs a person. A Freshdesk admin hands their API key to your AI agent, and the import sees only what that key can see. The official MCP server also needs a Growth, Pro or Enterprise plan.

On Freshdesk Growth, Pro or Enterprise, connect the Freshdesk MCP server next to Rinhelp and follow https://rinhelp.com/migrate/freshdesk.md. Start with my solution articles and canned responses, then bring over recent tickets with their replies and private notes.

Use my Freshdesk API key and https://rinhelp.com/migrate/freshdesk.md to move every ticket into Rinhelp. List tickets with updated_since in date slices so neither the 30-day default nor the 300-page cap hides any. Fetch each ticket’s conversations on their own, 100 per page, since an embedded ticket shows only ten replies.

What we measured

We imported the public help center at support.freshdesk.com into a test workspace with Claude Code on : 1,304 articles in 17 sections came across as drafts in about 16 minutes, were published in about 4 minutes more, and every old address answered with a redirect. 62 conversations with 202 messages, shaped like its API’s responses, came across with their files. The full run.

Questions

Why does my AI agent only see a month of Freshdesk tickets?

Freshdesk’s ticket list defaults to the last 30 days. Adding the updated_since filter opens up the older ones.

We have more than 30,000 tickets. Will they all move?

Yes. Freshdesk stops each list at 300 pages, so your AI agent pulls tickets in date slices that each stay under that cap.

Which Freshdesk limit applies to me?

It depends on your plan. Growth, Pro and Enterprise get 100, 400 and 700 calls a minute for the whole account, failed calls included. Freshdesk lists the older Blossom to Forest plans both per minute and per hour, so check which one you’re on.
