Refund and cancel from a conversation

Teammates can now refund or cancel a Shopify order or a Stripe payment straight from a conversation’s details, and connected integrations show plainly that they’re connected.

A Shopify order in a conversation’s “Details”, and a refund asking for its amount and reason.

In the conversation

Click Find in a conversation’s Details to look up the customer’s orders and payments. Shopify orders now show Refund and Cancel order, and Stripe payments and subscriptions show refund and cancel only where they apply. Each asks you to confirm, with the amount and a Reason, and a refund lets you change the Amount. Shopify orders also show their Total and when they were Placed.

Clearer approvals

Stripe approvals name exactly what they do, like “Refund 5.00 USD on invoice ABC-0001”. A refund bigger than what’s left is turned down when it’s asked for, not when someone approves it.

Integrations

A connected Shopify or Stripe card on Settings > Integrations says it’s connected, and whether Stripe is in test mode. Its setup steps sit behind Replace key or Replace app details, and an owner can disconnect it. If Shopify or Stripe rejects a key, the problem shows right under that field. Shopify setup also explains how to request protected customer data access for stores in a Shopify Partner organization.

Smaller fixes

  • While Rin writes, half-finished formatting and source markers no longer flash in the chat widget.
  • Rin’s writing bubble no longer shows when Rin is off, and it disappears as soon as Rin’s answer arrives.
  • Messages and a newly opened conversation show their shape while they load, instead of “No messages yet” or a frozen screen.
  • The chat widget keeps its shadow in Safari.
  • Owners can remove the chat widget’s image with Remove under Settings > Chat widget.
  • A support address on rinhelp.com no longer offers to set up sending from your own domain. The page explains how to send from a domain you own.
  • Domain setup says what’s left to do, and the help center address only mentions publishing until your first article is out.
